Key Stage 1
After the Foundation Stage the children have two years in Key Stage One. At this stage they will be working on the guidelines set out in the National Curriculum Document (2000). Your child will be taught the following subjects:
- Literacy
- Numeracy
- Science
- Information, communication and technology
- Design and technology
- History
- Geography
- Art and design
- Music
- Physical education
- Personal, social, health and emotional education and Citizenship
The children are also taught religious Education from the guidelines set out in the Lincolnshire Agreed Syllabus.
Staff also plan for the following areas of learning to be promoted across the curriculum:
Ø Spiritual, moral, social and cultural development
Ø Personal, social and health education
Ø Independent learning (key skills and key thinking skills)
Ø Creativity
The National Tests (SATs) take place at the end Key Stage One to show how well the children have progressed over the Key Stage
